Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire and empower elderly men and women to achieve their best health through strength training and regular exercise. By promoting the benefits of weightlifting and functional fitness, we aim to enhance mobility, increase strength, and improve overall well-being. Our programs are designed to create a safe, supportive, and motivating environment where seniors can build confidence, stay active, and enjoy a healthier, more vibrant life. Together, we’re redefining aging and proving it’s never too late to get in shape!

My Story

Gramp’s & Granny’s Fanny Fitness was created from a very personal place in my heart.

​

I started this nonprofit in honor and memory of my grandparents—Mattie Delgardo, Robert Delgardo Sr., Almeta Witherspoon, and Rayon “Paw Paw” Witherspoon. I truly believe that if they had been more active and had access to the kind of support and guidance we provide, they may still be here today. That realization stayed with me—and it became my purpose.

I’ve also seen how, after retirement, many seniors are often overlooked. Their routines slow down, their activity decreases, and sometimes they begin to feel forgotten. But I believe our seniors are some of the most valuable members of our community. They deserve to feel strong, supported, and seen.

​

I have a deep love and compassion for senior citizens. This program is more than fitness—it’s about helping them move better, feel better, and know that they are cared for. It’s about creating a space where they feel encouraged, valued, and empowered to take control of their health.

At the end of the day, this is my way of giving back—with love, purpose, and a commitment to helping our seniors live longer, healthier, and more fulfilling lives.
